Role: Hunt master/Scavener[Temporary clan leader] Personality: + Wise + Goofy + Peaceful + Honest + Sensitive to others feelings About: Nexus started out alone. He raised himself and had never really known a friendly face until he was a young adult. He was considered a savage, feral beast that most other dragons wanted nothing to do with. His days were always the same. Fight, kill, eat, sleep. His daily routine was interrupted one day as he passed by an old well that had long been abandoned. Now, he had seen this old well many times, as he never really strayed far from the tree he called home. But this time the well was glowing. A bright purple-ish glow that entranced him. He dropped his food, a freshly plucked apple, and cautiously made his way to the well. He felt a small bit of fear slithering it's way through his bones. He thought to dash away and hide in his tree but something told him to keep moving forward. Maybe it was simply his curiosity taking over. Maybe it was something else. About a foot from the well, he hesitated. The light was so bright. and.. growing brighter? Nexus froze, unsure of what to do until it popped out of the well. He jumped and let out a small cry of fear as the creature with the purple-ish glow stared him in the face. The glow pulsed a few times and Nexus subconsciously understood. His fear dissolved but he didn't budge. He then grew confused until the creature pulsed again. It was.. communicating with him. Telling him not to be afraid. He walked right up to the creature as it pulsed some more. It seemed distressed. This wasn't just a pulsating light. It was an Aura. |
Nexus wasn't sure what that meant but he didn't care. It was stuck in the well. Tied to it somehow. Nexus worked with the Aura, eventually freeing it. He prepared to be attacked but instead, the Aura seemed grateful. It thanked him and wished to be his companion. Nexus allowed it and over the next few weeks the Aura taught him so much about what it is to be a dragon. He learned why the others shunned him and he learned a bit of magic. He also learned how to speak and all about clans. He went on to search for a clan with the help of his new friend. They had a run in with some bandits who didn't last long against Nexus and his Aura. The Aura looted the bodies and found many items he knew did not belong to the bandits. Nexus vowed to return the items to their owners as many of them looked valuable. So began their lengthy quest which consisted of not only returning all the items but also slaughtering the entire bandit clan. Finding a clan was no longer important to Nexus. He wanted to help others and his Aura felt the same. They began wondering around looking for beings in need of help. It didn't take long for him to find a clan in need. Their lair was in ruins and many dragons appeared to be missing. He walked through, looking for any signs of life. Frantic voices drew Nexus' attention to the far side of the village where he spotted a young Imperial speaking to a Fae. He cautiously approached them and learned what had happened. He and the other imperial worked together to help. He and the other imperial began to do this sort of thing together regularly. After a few months they bumped into a small clan who later asked them to stay. Nexus is now one of the clans hunter/scavengers. He(along with a small group) goes out in search of food, materials or anything else he can find that may be of use to the clan. His Aura always tags along, of course. Permanent. |
