She is loyal to no one, but her Goddess. For the Plaguebringer, she would sacrifice her own offspring and paint her shrine crimson with their blood. Vaz claims to receive messages from the Mother of Plagues herself, usually in the form of dreams or signs. The Horde trusts her interpretations of prophecies and omens, as for the most part, she's been right, but they do not trust her nature. Vaz carries herself as if she is amiable and polite, but there is something off putting about her demeanor. Her eyes, cold and piercing, reflect her true self. While sporting a sweet smile and gentle voice, she can talk about the most vile and horrendous subjects as if they were merely mundane. Her very presence sends chills down the spines of even the most steadfast warriors.
It is no secret that Vaz enjoys what she does. She sees destruction of life as a beautiful work of art and relishes in performing the deed for her beloved Plaguebringer. With a tortoise shell full of the blood, she paints the history of Grim Rot on the cold, stony walls of the lair, another work of art she is proud to display. Not much is know about Vaz's past. It is one subject the unsettling Priestess does not paint, yet alone, talk about. What is known is that she escaped from a depraved cult as an adolescent and found refuge in the Horde. According to her, she had been communicating with the Plaguebringer since she was hatchling and it was The Filthy One's will that lead her here. It is unknown what caused Vaz to spare her only surviving daughter, Birezli, but some speculate that the Plaguebringer sent her a sign, or maybe, there is still a heart inside that broken, twisted soul of hers. |
