Melodia is the Sanctuary’s Tailor. Known for her attention to detail and intricacy in her works, she is well liked by the other residents of the Sanctuary. Her apparel is all magic infused; each garment contains a feeling, a memory, a special quality that evokes emotion from the wearer, although no one else knows this for certain, besides Shine. All the other dragons know is that they love what she makes, whether it makes them feel nostalgic, powerful or simply at peace.

A reserved dragon, Melodia spends her time tailoring, weaving and creating apparel items. But not only does she create clothing for her fellow dragons, she weaves words into stories as well, which she writes in a small leather bound journal. She never shares them with anyone, except a podid named Stella, who insists that Melodia is an excellent writer. The rest of the Sanctuary takes her word for it. Melodia has been described by others as a down to earth, selfless dragon.

She stumbled upon the Sanctuary in the form of a stranded egg; nursed to hatching by Shine, she has lived at the Sanctuary her entire life, and considers the other residents to be her family, but especially Shine, which she views as a mother figure. As she aged, she began to show her abilities to enchant objects she created, which so happened to be clothing. Shine was the only one who noticed this, and insisted it be kept a secret, for fear of others using her. Thus, she continued to create enchanted clothing, ensuring to infuse only good feelings for the wearer, true to her nature.
