______ Bring the kids, roast a skewered hunk of foodstuff, tell a ghost, do the thing. Gosh, even as I sit here, I feel so void of direction. I just want a sense of purpose for today. My blunders loom just behind the blinders I set up and now I peer earnestly for a star to guide me in a day that feels like a dream. The marshmallow tastes indifferent, I have energy but what will I do. Dread. I dread the horizon and the turning of the world even as I try to savor the moment. And so, in denial, let us go hiking, and make sure you have some good quality boots laced securely to your feet.
