Dai Give them a show From a young age Dai had always had a fascination with tricks. Not malicious ones, or pranks exactly. But card tricks, sleight of claw, illusions, etc. He's very proficient at his tricks now and preforms for hatchlings and on festivals or special occasions. Dai is a happy go lucky character. A social butterfly of the highest caliber, he has friends all over the clan. He fits in almost everywhere and is always a hit at parties. But don't let his cheerful demeanor and friendly disposition fool you. Dai isn't naive or easily taken advantage of. Prior to his time as a Magician, Dai was a very skilled magical thief. He knows how to read people and he's no stranger to more ruthless practicalities. Dai loves performing. Always giving shows for the hatchlings and any adult interested. He spends a great deal of time practicing the tricks he knows and creating brand new ones. Dai's draw in the clan is that he does not use any actual magic in his tricks relying solely on his own prowess. That isn't to say that Dai can't use magic. He can, he's a very well trained magic user. But not using magic and making it look like he's using magic? That is a hundred times more challenging. And the challenge is what Dai is after. Midnight is the one true love of Dai's life. He loves the stuffing out of her, when the spotlight gets too much, he knows he's can always curl up next to her and not have any demands made on him. Midnight in turn, dislikes being the center of attention unless it's Dai's attention. He'll listen in rapt silence as she explains out every potion she's brewed that day. And Dai runs interference when customers become too much for Midnight. Recently he's taken on an assistant in Chanticleer. Dai can't say no to a dragon looking to fit in. And Chanticleer's familiarity with show life is helpful beyond belief when planning and executing Dai's performances. Among the clan he's a valued mediator and the Magician. Having become a self aware morality pet for a few of the clan's more...unscrupulous dragons. ✶ |
