What do those neat gender/sexual orientation banners mean and where do they come from?

This is what they mean (this is also for my own reference):

Gay

Homosexual, man attracted to man (I've usually seen this as a broad term, used both for men/woman who are homosexual, please let me know if this is offensive using it that way?)

Lesbian

Homosexual, woman attracted to woman.

Bisexual

Attracted to BOTH genders. Not always with the same feelings, i.e. may feel more attracted to woman at one time and more attracted to men at another.

Straight Ally

Someone who is attracted to the OPPOSITE sex and supports LGBT+ people

Asexual

Not interested in a sexual relationship, or simply do not understand the need. (Does not mean they won't have a sexual relationship, just means they are not interested/do not prefer it).

Transgender

Someone who's gender identity is opposite to their sex. (A male who identifies as a female).

Pansexual

Attracted to any person of any sex/gender.

Gender Queer

Someone who's gender identity does not fit into other categories or "norms"

Non binary

Not exclusively male or female, more androgynous. May not conform to any genders. (?)

Neutrois

Have no gender.

Demisexual

Attracted only to people they've made an emotional bond with.

Polysexual

Attracted to many genders/sexes.

Skoliosexual

Attracted to non binary genders.

Autosexual

One who responds to themselves better than others.
