Isaye is rather an odd duck. A collector of feathers and soft bits, he lined his nest long ago and attracted the attention of the earliest hatchlings. From there, others learned through observation that Isaye's nest was an open, safe, and welcome place to snuggle, and eventually, the other dragons began to send their hatchlings to stay with Isaye while they worked. The stories that come from his book are ancients ones lost to many around them, so he is quite protective of his tome, his favored possession.
