Biography

Vertical banner of a cold, blue-tinted forest. This build is a 2-fodder trainer It can go in the Crystal Pools, Harpy's Roost, or Ghostlight Ruins.

In the first battle, start with:
Meditate
.

»
Haste
.

»
Rally
.

»
Defend
Then, Eliminate everything while Rallied.

Subsequent battles after building breath:
Rally
.

»
Eliminate
Considerations:
  • Never try to Eliminate while you have the Meditate debuff. This debuff lasts for 3 turns and reduces your damage by 75%. Therefore, the 3 turns after Meditating must be spent using non-damaging abilities, such as Haste, Rally, and Defend.
  • Avoid starting on packs with 4 enemies or 3 melee enemies. This build can start on most other packs!
  • If you are Contused and have enough breath, use Sap before Eliminate while Rallied to clear enemies.
  • This build has extremely poor recovery from dodges. Unless you have breath built up, a dodge usually requires refreshing. If you are 5-10 breath away from being able to Eliminate, use Haste and/or Rally.
  • Due to relying on Meditate to build breath, this build has no ability to take down bosses. Refresh if you encounter a boss.
  • Because it is statted to rally & one-shot eliminate everything up to the Ghostlight Ruins, builds optimized just for the Crystal Pools & Harpy's Roost will have a slight edge over this build, but it is an option for someone looking to have their dragons doing double or triple duty in multiple venues.

Banner with gold-orange text and a headshot of a green snapper dragon. The text reads: Nature's Lending Cycle: level exalt fodder, collect festival loot, try a new build, train your own team. Bastion belongs to Ganondorf and may be borrowed through the Lending Cycle!
  • He may be borrowed for up to 1 week. Message Ganondorf for an extension.
  • If you are going to be gone from the site for more than a day or two, please send Bastion back before you go.
  • We ask you do not breed, tincture, or otherwise change Bastion without asking Ganondorf first.

I don't know Bastion's history too much, but I received him, along with 10 other dragons, from hawchoo, who donated him to the Lending Cycle before going on hiatus. He is Shield's brother, and they are both G2. He came still statted as the oldest Mire Flyer build, with 117 strength. Even years ago when the Mire Flyer build was first created, 117 strength could not one-shot everything - the Brilliant Psywurm and Mossy Cerdae required a scratch with this stat distribution - but it was selected to give higher quickness to make up for the first turn bug that existed at the time, where the first turn, one Ambush turn, was lost.

That bug has been fixed for years, thankfully, and the 117 strength Flyers were replaced with 119 strength Flyers, and then 120 strength with the latest Mire update. Since he was outdated, I decided to restat him to a build the Lending Cycle did not yet have, the Ghysty Guiler.

Exalting Bastion to the service of the Gladekeeper will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
