Silent Protector

No one knows for sure where they came from, or how long they have stood at the lair’s entrance. One merely takes for granted the presence of the mighty guardians, looming silently and still since time untold.

The elders tell the tale of a different breed of imperials. One that, like guardians, sought to protect their brethren by becoming fearsome warriors. But their power was too great, and to keep the world from falling into chaos the gods have doomed them into their eternal slumber. Those stone giants are found throughout Sornieth, usually near where a mighty clan has made their home.

From their perch they silently watch and judge those that come near their home. It is said that during times of need, the stone guardians will come back to life, and once more fight for their home and to protect those within.
