Life is only an illusion
Mihangel is one of the newer members to the Magical Society. He joined to refine his skills in magic, yes, but he is more fascinated by the study of magic than the practical applications. Despite this, he does have some talents. Namely, he is skilled in creating illusions. He can make others see what is not really there. Mihangel is also fairly skilled at using his magic to manipulate others. He uses his skill to influence their thoughts or decisions. Typically, he does this is in a manner that is not malicious. Mihangel is a bit awkward when dealing with others. He's not anti-social by any means, but he simply does not know how to properly interact with people and can often come across in ways that he does not mean to. Making friendships is incredibly difficult for Mihangel, and he doesn't really try since he'd much rather be with his books anyway instead of spending time with others. The idea of a romantic relationship is something that truly baffles him. He acknowledges that people and dragons might engage in such, but it is not something he is able to wrap his head around when it comes to himself. Speaking of romantic relationships is one sure fire way to fluster him. In all likelihood Mihangel will do his best to change the topic to something else. Especially if talk might turn to having hatchlings. Perish the thought! Mihangel often finds himself being pestered by another apprentice at the Society named Winterheart. Winter is skilled in sorcery, and often uses her magic to find ways of pranking him or making him do what she wants. He easily gets annoyed because she pulls him away from his books, but she does manage to get him to engage in other things than reading. While he would not refer to Winter as his friend, she is likely the closest thing he has to a friend. Mihangel is also associated with an older magic user named Laburnum. Laburnum is able to see the future, and can also change it around to a certain extent. He serves as Mihangel's mentor. Though their magical skills don't quite line up, Laburnum has been with the Society for a long time and has a wealth of knowledge to share. He tries to teach Mihangel, but usually finds himself exasperated once the apprentice is wrapped up in another book. Current favorite: The Cask of Amontillado
