"The wind is in your scales and in your blood.”

Born from the fiery hands of the Forge Maker of the Great Forge in the Lancer Clan, [NAME] was born a Messenger. Obedient to their leader, these nimble beings are quick and punctual. Messenger statues are crafted to deliver messages, packages, confidential information, and etc to other clans. These statues are usually found cooped away on sentry towers around the clan’s borders, or kept inside the clan’s library depending on which tasks they are supposed to carry out.

Messenger statues are slim and lightweight, which makes them exceptionally fast. [NAME]’s breed are also pretty hardy when it comes to taking a blow or two. It’s to ensures that if [NAME] runs into trouble, they will be able to make it out in one piece. Another trait of Messenger statues are that they are very sensitive when it comes to sight. This helps [NAME] spot either incoming danger or recipients of the package they are to deliver.

Still mourning for her first children, the Lightweaver traveled far and wide across the Sunbeam Ruins searching in desperation if anything could be salvaged over the destruction that her childr- no, the emperors had left in their wake.

Almost giving up on her search, she stumbled upon a beautifully formed statue of four golden Imperials dancing. If the Lightweaver had not given them a second glance, it would've looked like as if they were alive.

The first Imperial was finely built and looked as if the wind carved patterns were moving in its scales. The second was otherworldly, ethereal, the finely-sculpted crystals growing off of it emanating an air of dignity and refinement. The third one was strongly built with spines across its entire body and had a ferocious yet calm expression on it, and the fourth dragon had a beautifully adorned stomach with the appearance of being sculpted from the starry sky itself.

Suddenly, she felt a wave of awe wash over her; these were her children’s gifts to her.. Without any hesitation, the Lightweaver gathered all her light magic and gave her breath into the statues in a desperate attempt to recreate her children.

She went in order. Her breath swirled into the first, the winged, wind-looking one. She continued, into the second, crystalline statue, the third, the great, strong-looking dragon, and finally, the astral-patterned fourth. Thus giving them all life, or so she thought...

Proud of her new children, the Lightweaver reveled in her success. She was so them the entire expanse of the Sunbeam ruins and paraded them off as if her children were never gone in the first place. They would always follow her, guarding, protecting, but never really saying anything. The Lightweaver saw this as Then as if it had not hit before, a wave of doubt crept up onto her as if it were her own shadow. “Are these really my children?” The Lightweaver thought to herself. “Do they know that they are free to do as they please?” She stopped to look at what she created. To her dread, all she saw was nothing but hollow bodies. They were as still as statues, soundless, and their hollow eyes locked onto her, looking as if they were to be given an order. The Lightweaver came to the realization that these statue dragons could never be like her original children, these dragons were just, and always will be, statues.

Overcome with grief and acceptance that her first children could not come back, she decides that these statues should be sent to protect and aid clans across Sornieth in some sort of attempt to accept her loss with herself.

But before she sent the four statue dragons off, she called them one by one.

"Wind-carved one,” she said, beckoning the statue. “Come forward to me”

The finely built statue walked forward and bowed swiftly in front of the Lightweaver. "The wind is in your scales and in your blood. When I used my magic to breathe life into you I gave you the gift of speed, the gift of wit, the gift of curiosity, and the gift of traveling. I assign to your survey and disclose your finds of newcomers and enemies to a clan of your choosing." She declared. And like that, the dragon went back into its line.

”Crystalline one, please step forward." She commanded.

The crystalline statue came forward and bowed with its gems reflecting light. "Ethereal magic is in your gems and in your veins. When I used my magic to breathe life into you I gave you the gift of magic, the gift of discovery, the gift of wonder, and the gift of teaching. I shall assign you to use your magic for the defense and protection to a clan of your choosing." She declared. And like that, the dragon went back into its line.

”Ferocious one, “come forward” She commanded.

The fearsome statue walked up to her from the line proudly and bowed. "Ferocity is in your spines and in your nature. When I used my magic to breathe life into you I gave you the gift of strength, the gift of honesty, the gift of loyalty, and the gift of perseverance. With your ferocity and your strength, I shall assign you to dedicate yourself and fight alongside a clan of your choosing" She declared. And like that, the dragon went back into its line.

”Star-bellied one, stand before me." She commanded

The star-bellied statue came forward and bowed gingerly almost hesitantly. "I am sorry, but when I breathed my magic into you and gave you life I could not give you as many gifts as I could like your siblings, but you are the most beautiful. Since you are the most beautiful your line of children and their children's children will be the rarest to behold. Making you a very important, and to that, I assign you to serve in a clan of your choosing as a being of good luck, wealth, and prosperity." She declared. And like that, the dragon went back to its line, somehow less hesitant than before.

”Now, that I assigned you tasks for all of you to continue, I shall dismiss you. May light shine your path, for we are the beacon that shines for our world."

And with the flaps of their metallic, leathery wings, the lightweaver watched them disappear beyond the horizon. She had done well, she thought.
