The Pampered:
"Ah... I'm afraid I'm... busy."
* Was born into the clan.
* Since he is one of Serenia's favorites, there aren't any tasks delegated to him, much to Chogan's dismay and irritation. Chogan loves to try and convince Serenia to pass small tasks to the Spiral under the guise of "learning" and "self-fulfillment". Azaizil thinks this is stupid and has learned to avoid the grouchy imperial as a result.
* He often tells white lies to avoid chores and any subsequent scrutiny. He is pretty much a stranger to responsibility due to his privileged upbringing.
* Will voice any complaints he has. Loudly.
* Azaizil is friendly but does not understand the value or need for hardwork, making him come across as aloof and self-centered. Deep down, he is a young dragon who is trying to find his way in this world. Even deeper down is a self-centered dragon. This continues in many subsequent layers.
* Was practically dragged to the coliseum by Emperor and Joanna after Serenia insisted that all of her favorites learn self-defense. Joanna was ecstatic, Emperor apathetic and Chogan prayed to the divines for the first time in decades once he heard the news. He still laughs every time someone brings the spiral's recruitment up. Lucian describes Azaizil's outlook as "salty" on the matter. Megaera is quietly wondering if this is why Sirrah was elated as he passed on the coliseum team's healing duty to her. Azaizil is fairly certain that the Mire runs were Chogan's idea. Wants to make him pay.
* Shortcomings aside, Azaizil dotes on his parent figures, Serenia and Sirrah, and is fiercely protective of his adoptive sister, Joanna. Sirrah fears that the two spiral siblings will inherit Serenia's fanaticism towards the clan or Arcane flight. He often spends time with his older adoptive sister Umbra, as he is her charge. Its kinda awkward.
* Currently enjoys the protection of his body guard, Emperor, though the latter acts more of butler due to the spiral's demanding nature and the fact that there are barely any immediate threats within the clan's natural borders. Emperor will generally comply with reasonable requests but anything extra will need bribes, usually in the form of cooking ingredients for his recipes. Azaizil will often try to siphon seafood or other oddities from the fishermen or promise to ask Serenia for longer leaves or scouting travels to pay for these bribes.
* He was raised among various tributes and decor, the most common of which were flowers that he spemt time cataloging with Sirrah. As an adult, he absolutely adores flora and often surrounds himself with various specimens plundered from the nearby fields. The clan dragons joke that he must have been a nature dragon in a past life.
* He likes to spend time in the clan garden. It's a good thing that the clan botanist has the patience of a saint.
* He has a crush on the resident fire noble, who he often tries to woo with the prettiest flowers he picks. She has not shown much interest in these items hence Azaizil has taken to studying amateur metal forging in hopes of producing metal flower jewellery for his love interest. He has been hiding and stowing away his creations until he finds them of acceptable quality for presentation. Emperor often helps him in his lessons and hides the creations when needed, as Fleur is often present near the clan forge.

1. Describe your dragon's hatchday. Under what conditions were they born?
(For a bit of context: the clan matriarch is a fanatic and devoted to the Arcanist. Her faith often blinds her to reality and she tends to be superstitious, taking occurrences and small details that may be pure happenstance as signs or a mission from destiny to honor the Arcane flight. As a result, she ended up taking in a hatchling, Umbra, and then set her up as the clan oracle (whether Umbra actually has any divination abilities is in the air). The growing hatchling gave bits and pieces of information that the matriarch used to find hatchlings to recruit into the clan as 'chosen ones' (her "Chosen Children"). Azaizil is one of the first of such and one of her favorites.)
Azaizil was part of a two egg clutch, left behind by wandering parents during their short stay within the clan borders while preparing for exaltation. Serenia was hoping for a girl, with scales as black as a starless night and wings as pink as the arcane cosmos. The two eggs hatched into exactly that: a healthy boy and girl, two identical sets of the same image. The clan was less than a year old, however, and barely scraping by. They could only keep one.
Azaizil, then unnamed, was the odd one out, Serenia reasoned. Umbra has spoken of a girl. He was not supppsed to exist. He was a coincidence. Yet there was something endearing about the tiny hatchling. She couldn't place it but it was there. The travel plans to send the rouge egg's hatchling, set in place before he pushed his way through its cooling shell, were already in place. Someone had to go, but Serenia hesitated. Call a meeting she said, a series of meetings, as much as they need to figure out what the stars wanted. For as many days as the clan could spare feeding an extra mouth.
None of the original vlsn members know why he was chosen. His sister was sent to a neighbouring Wind clan. Sent to live out a different life with a different destiny and guiding hand and Azaizil stayed. He stayed with his new parents, his new sisters and his old sister's fate. The prophecy of his birth was rewritten, until it was no longer needed to be after his sister returned decades later, and he stayed.

2. What is the thing your dragon regrets most in their life?
Azaizil doesn't really have anything specific that comes to mind when asked about a major event that he regrets. He's live a very comfortable life. Granted it wasn't in a palace or in the lap of unwavering luxury but it's good. He's never had an unfulfiled desire or needed. Food is in abundancr and he has all time he'd like to lounge around his flowers and living quarters. He doesn't have any pressing chores or emergencies. He's had some unexpected mishaps in his life but they've eother turned out to be a blessing in disguise (hatching Eggburt from a stolen egg- oops) or something he deems out of control (his sister's return was a shock but they were seperated as birth, so there's not much he can do there). He has everything he needs so why does he feel so empty?
