Aven was born into Clan Clutter and almost as quickly destined to join the Lightweaver in the great Dominance battles, like most of his siblings. The Clan faced just one problem: Aven, even then, had perfected the art of lazing about.

It was never that Aven was unwilling or even uninterested in learning how to fight. When given any weapon, Aven would hold it as long as he could. When given a task, he would try as hard as he could. When given exact instructions, he would follow them as exactly as possible. The outcome was always the same. The hatchling would be found after a pitiable amount of time, exhausted, cuddling on the ground and sleeping. The hatchling always managed to find the sunniest spot, the softest grass, the warmest rock. The clan was at a loss. Dominance wasn't for Aven, but what, then, could he do?

For a while, the Clan simply let him relax. He, astonishingly, maintained a very good-natured, helpful attitude. He would always complete a task, just....not very fast, and with plenty of breaks. Eventually, he began perfecting his craft, creating sweet grass drinks or quick rotala cakes with minimal effort and sharing them with whomever wanted to catch a thermal in the afternoon, or learning just how to position his golden wings in goldenrod grass so that he couldn't be seen during a quick afternoon nap.

At their wits end, the Clan granted Aven an alchemist bag. The practice of alchemy requires great patience; Opra, clan leader, figured Aven's napping and lounging would suffice. Surprisingly, Aven took to alchemy, though as with everything, a potion by Aven takes twice as long as a potion from anyone else. He is currently aiming to create a potion that tastes like "liquid afternoon". No word on how long that will take.
