He never seems to move. He shows no expression. His voice is a bleak monotone when he speaks, his eyes focused on nothing as though he were in a trance. He whispers beneath his breath, a haunting and incomprehensible gibberish that echoes through the lair like the voice of a specter.

He never, ever sleeps.

A permanent fixture at the entrance of the clan’s lair, Dreamer is a dragon that defies all explanation or reason. He has no allies, no passions, no hobbies, no job. In fact, his clanmates aren’t even sure where he came from, when he arrived, or why they tolerate his presence. Some seem strangely attached to him, and a frightening amount of younger, more impressionable dragons have begun to try to engage him, listening to his toxic words and taking them to heart. Others are merely frightened of him, unwilling to raise a talon against him and justifying their fear by reminding their peers that it isn’t as though he has ever hurt anyone. He just stands there. There’s no law against standing, is there?

Dreamer himself seems oblivious to this debate about his presence, as his primary concern seems to be with some sort of entity he reveres as one would a god. When he is pressed to conversation, it is the object of his obsession, the one topic he will discuss in strange, looping words and blandly recited hymns that are spoken in plain words without a single influx of his voice. Little of his rambling makes sense, comprised of symbols and repetition, and any doubts expressed in his beliefs or his words is met with a surprising amount of hostility.

He shows no expression, even when incited to rage, and as his claws come down or his teeth close in on your throat, there is nothing more frightening than looking into the eyes of your attacker and knowing that they feel absolutely nothing at all.
