Some born of Water are gifted with prophecy and become great seers of dragonkind. Others, like Nimiane, make do with milder powers of precognition. She patrols the murky areas where the Lightweaver’s Hewn City melts into the Shadowbinder’s domain. Able to sense an opponent’s move coming before they strike, she is formidable against all but the ruins’ fiercest inhabitants.

The safety of all travellers through the Ghostlight Ruins is Nimiane’s charge, but none more so than her mate Myrddin. She tried constantly to persuade the distractible black and white guardian to scavenge elsewhere upon their first meeting and several afterwards. When she was unable to do so, Nimiane accepted escorting Myrddin on his aimless meandering as part of her charge. It was on one of these trips that she realised Myrddin was driven to the Ruins by his own charge, an endless collection of mismatched jewellery. It occurred to Nimiane that they were no so different after all.
