Biography

tumblr_inline_njw5jjRGaO1qg2i5p.gif
Syrilla is wild and happy and as free as the tiger she so resembles. (also, note from the author (a.k.a. Me) I do not take credit for the first stanza of the song in here. The one Syrilla made about the "Wind dragon" in the first stanza. Most of the words came out of a book. The others where she's taunting him, I did. I made up some of the lyrics to fit the story)

Syrilla pranced with excitement. She and Riptide were TRYING to get through Plague territory, but some Plague dragons were stopping them. What if they didn't let them across?
Sensing tensions arising between Riptide, a blue imperial, and a very handsome looking Wind dragon who, apparently, lived in the Plague clan, Syrilla instantly leaped into action when she heard Riptide say, "You don't have anything to gain by stopping us."
"Well, they could make us do the hokey pokey," Syrilla offered. Making things funny when they were supposed to be serious was her specialty.
Riptide's ear flicked but he didn't look at her.
Syrilla began to sing, accompanying with it a dance routine. "You put your only tail in! You put your only tail out! You put your only tail in, and you shake it all about! You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself about! That's what it's all about!" Syrilla did the dance, putting her tail in an invisible circle when the dance commanded.
The handsome Wind dragon who looked like a tiger was staring at her in astonishment and disapproval.
Syrilla flashed him a merry grin, and he frowned and looked away.
That's when Syrilla got an idea.
She crept over to him and seized one of his paws, bellowing, "YOU PUT YOUR RIGHT PAW IN! YOU PUT YOUR RIGHT PAW OUT! YOU-"
He yanked his paw away and glared at her. "Stop!" he hissed. "Nature dragons are nothing but trouble!" He glared at her, then added mutinously. "And that was my left paw by the way."
Syrilla giggled. "Oops. And my name's Syrilla, not Nature dragon. Thank goodness for that."
The Wind dragon glared at her.
"What's yours?" she added cheekily. "Is is Mr. Grumpy Gills?"
He glared at her.
Syrilla got a crazy, derpy, super Syrilla-like idea.
"There's a dragon goes
with claw-tipped toes
He's got green eyes
And a great big nose
And when he will laugh
Nobody knoooows!
But I'm certainly up for the job!" sang Syrilla loudly.
The Wind dragon stared at her, and Riptide did not look happy. He looked furious.
So, Syrilla did what Syrilla did best. She made a fool of herself.
She walked right up to the Wind imperial and said in a squeaky voice, "Hello mister Grumpy Gills. Or mister- mister Perpetually Grumpy."
She heard Riptide's sigh of exasperation behind her.
The Wind dragon snarled and swiped at her with one large paw, which Syrilla deftly dodged.
"He had no aim
But he wants to cause pain!" sang Syrilla cheekily as she lightly danced out of the way of his next blow.
He roared and tensed.
"He has a temper, yes oh yes
But I'll certainly do what I do best
And get him to laugh one da-ay!
Unless he kills me with his death ray!" added Syrilla with a flourish, then added mischievously. "Assuming he can catch me, of course."
She was honestly just throwing random words into the song, whether they made sense or not. They had the desired effect, in any case.
Riptide leaped forward to stop the Wind dragon's blow, but Syrilla didn't think he needed to. She could've evaded him forever.
