Biography

21091988_350.png Melinoe
Mortician and Servant of the Plaguebringer
Mate of None
???
Graveyard Guardian

"The dead can speak, most just refuse to listen."

Melinoe was named after a child of Persephone and Zeus. She acts as an intermediary between those who have passed, those who are passing, and those who seek to cross lines that should remain unbroken.
"The undead hold multiple groups. There are those who seek to harm others and those who seek to live peacefully with others. There are those who want nothing more than solitude. Some only seek a place to stay without others trying to end their lives. Sound familiar? They are the same as those living."

Melinoe was the first girl of her parents' first clutch. The two parents eagerly and warily waited to see how Melinoe and her brother Aiakos would grow. Their father had an undead affliction. It was no harm, but his skeletal appearance made him seem...intimidating to say the least.

Melinoe followed in her mother's footsteps. She serves as an astute mortician and is more than capable of returning the dead to their graves, whether they want it or not. Unlike her mother, Melinoe is much more relaxed and wiling to talk before fighting the dead. If the undead are doing no harm to anyone, then Melinoe sees no reason to force them back into their graves. They will return to them at some point, and if they ever become a threat, Melinoe will put them down.

Unfortunately, Melinoe did inherit something from her father. Unlike his smooth, bone armor, extra bone growth is pokes out of her body and seeps out to her wings. It does nothing to faze her. It only serves to remind her that though she hunts the undead, there are those who are perfectly normal within the group. She takes care to only remove those who are dangerous.
