Plantain come to the lair by accident, Tree had won her gambling and had planned to sell the egg the next night. After a few too many drinks with Banana he dropped the egg and they both watched in horror as the little dragon crawled out.

Knowing that they couldn't very well sell a baby, Tree desperately tried to raise her, normally managing to take care of her with Banana's help.

Despite having a precarious childhood she grew up alright, other than the fact that she is known for her pickpocketing skills. Living with the two dragons she learned both what pelts are softest and how to pluck a purse fat with treasure while someone is distracted.
