A theoretical universal solvent in chemistry.

From a young age, Alkahest was extremely curious about everything. He was that hatchling who always asked "Why?" a million times until the adult dragons just gave up in frustration. He loved reading any books he could get his claws on, and listened to all the stories he get the elders to tell him. Eventually he started to experiment to further explore and gather knowledge about his surroundings. However being in the Ice territories did not really give him as many resources for natural experiments as he might like. So he set out to find a place rich in abundant everything for him to test and poke and prod until he knew its secrets.

Alkahest discovered a penchant for chemistry and alchemy, the mixing of things to form new creations. These he could do without (too much) harm to other living beings. He could draw chemicals from plants and okay even a few animals. But it was all in the name of pursuing more information, a better understanding of the world around him.

Finally he settled into the Nature territories and found a quiet clan that lived in a rich environment. In return for shelter, Alkahest provides certain creations of his to the other members of the clan. Potions to help combat scale rot, to detangle a frizzy mane, or stop the progress of certain poisons and toxins. While sometimes his experiments are cause for mild concern, the young Nocturne is far from the typical mad scientist. He prefers pursuits of usefulness and knowledge, not destruction for destruction's sake.
