Mage of the Moon Clan and Mate to Kyra "I feel a presence in the air..."

Runecaster likes to keep mostly to himself, letting only Kyra see his true feelings. He is mostly quiet and soft-spoken, preferring to let his actions speak louder than his words. He is a gifted magic wielder since he was young, which made him leave his former clan in search of greater knowledge about his talent. He still prefers to keep his past a secret, something that even Kyra doesn't object to.

Runecaster was born to a powerful Clan in the Forum of the Obscured Crescent, serving almost directly under the Shadowbinder herself. He was born with strange markings on his hide, the Marks of Mana, as they're called, meaning that he's gifted in magic uses. No one really knows how his former Clan life was, only that one day he had left them to start a new path, to learn more about what made him special.

His journey eventualy led him to the edge of the Ashfall Waste, where he was hunting for some food when he ran into Kyra. Or rather, Kyra found him intruding on the Moon Clan's territory. He explained that he was simply a lone traveler looking for some shelter and food. The purple Imperial agreed to let him stay in the Clan for a short time, after she spoke to the leaders.

He found a secluded cave on the outskirts of the Clan, and soon he was settling in quite nicely. He was far enough away from the others to not cause damage if one of his spells went awry, and close enough that he could still be involved with what was happening in the Clan.

He and Kyra had begun to converse together, Kyra asking multiple questions about him and his past, to which he hardly provided answers to. But Rune could feel his mask coming down the more time he spent with her. He could feel himself falling in love with her.

Then, one day, as he and Kyra went out hunting together, he finally lowered his mysterious front and confessed his love to her. To his delight (and surprise), she told him that she loved him, too.

Weeks later he decided to surprise her with her green and white scarf, and she had given him his copper necklace, now one of his most prized possessions.
