Transmits disease through:

  • Plaguebringer Effigy
  • Saliva
  • Tears

Serendipity was born a healthy hatchling, for the most part. Only his eyes indicated that he carried any amount of ailment at all. The dragons of Outbreak Orchard were disheartened; how would such a weakling be able to infect other clans?

After a short deliberation, it was decided that the young hatchling would still be sent away. Perhaps his virus needed time or a different environment to strengthen. If not, there was still a chance that his future offspring would inherit a stronger infection than their father.

What the clan failed to realize was that upon his birth, Serendipity's mother had gifted a small plaguebringer effigy to him only moments before he had been ripped from her arms. No dragon could remove it from his grip; though he was small, he was already strong. To avoid injuring the hatchling they allowed him to keep the effigy.

The young imp clutched his mothers gift and wailed for her as he was carried away. The effigy was soaked with his tears. Within hours it had absorbed most of the deadly virus strain that had been born with Serendpity. By the time the other dragons assessed his contagion rate, most of the virus had been transferred.

The dragons, hopeful, ambition unending, chained the hatchling to a graveyard guardian and sent him out into Sornieth.

Serendipity, hopeless, tears unending, clung to the only momento of his family he would ever possess.
