At a quick glance one might believe that Laetrtes is wearing bone armor. But upon closer inspection, the reality is much eerier. The white markings that trail from his head all the way down his back occur naturally, causing him to achieve the grim look that other dragons devote hours into with hard materials.

Looking as if he slipped out of the tangled woods of the shadow lands, but actually hailing from ice, the young skydancer quickly found that finding a home was much harder then he'd originally thought. So many clans saw him and his eerie plumage as a bad omen, or even evil. Some dragons even went so far as to drive him completely from their territory.

Hoping that it would scare away any hostility, Laertes finally decided to embrace the way the world saw him, donning scraggly bits of fur and cobwebbed covered bone fragments. Even if he didn't find a home, at least any onlookers would think him more of a phantom and stay away.

But before the world was able to prove his method effective, a shining beacon of pure light stepped into his life. He'd thought her an emissary of the lightweaver at first but couldn't figure out why she would be seeking him out. That was when he saw the shining green of her eyes.

Inviting him to stay at her clan, the golden skydancer proved that perhaps the world wasn't as grim as Laertes first thought. Although his future still was not set, things were starting to look up.
