Born in the darkest part of the Tangled Woods, Asterion hatched from a nest holding two eggs. He stumbled into the world during the darkest point of night, quietly blinking to try and focus on the new and shadowy objects around him. Given the Tundra's naturally poor eyesight, he struggled greatly with seeing anything around him, though he could identify through scent his parents. A loving tundra and a hyperactive spiral who's nocturnal nature was passed along to their son. As a young hatchling Asterion stuck close to the nest, uncertain about exploring a world he could barely see. His brother, uncontent to remain in one place for long eventually convinced the young Tundra into exploring with him.
Near their home stood an intimidating area, a ghastly ruins that seemed to glow and was deemed haunted by even the bravest of their peers. Anyone who could remain within the ruins for a night were deemed the bravest of the brave. Going on a dare from his brother Chandler, Asterion headed into the ruins to face the ghost lights. It was here that he encountered a Lux Spectre who tried to lead him astray. Unable to really see where the little light was going however, the young one remained safe in his spot, camping in the shadows of the ruins until he the first rays of dawn began to grow in the gloom. Considered the bravest of his clan's nests, it was hardly any surprise when the young dragon chose to leave the clan to search for a new home. Touched by many of the other inhabitants of the Ghostlight Ruins, Asterion had been gifted with a talent for weaving. The only issue remained was that his weaving was left enchanted upon completion, offering up tricks or helpful uses depending on the wearer. The most powerful charms are made from his own discarded fur, a deep shimmering fabric that tends to do more tricks than treats. Though he means no one ill will, he does enjoy seeing the results of his actions. Infatuated with a young tundra named Mira, Asterion took her under his wing to teach her his weaving secret and the pair are rarely seen apart.
