when the kiss of rot tingles so lovingly?

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Lord of the Harvest. The Aspect of Autumn. Herald of Decay. They hold many titles yet none ever captures them quite perfectly. More than a liege, they are the rhythm of the season itself. The slipping daylight their eyes, the ripening bounties their plumage, and as a singular leaf breaks free from its branch to fly one last time, they dance too. Each season they come, and some moons later, they depart, vanish, and linger into nothingness- into the cold embrace of winter.

Naturally, like a pleasant September day, there doesn't seem a moment where they aren't content. Almost always smiling gently and drifting about, it's difficult to say whether it's simply their temperament or a method of charming their way into anything. After all, being eternally bound to exist only for three moons is quite boring at times- even gods, have curiosities. And indeed, eternity has already numbed them, for even now, they cannot understand why life fears their heralding of rot and decay when such is simply the natural rhythm of life. There is an eeriness to how even towards fear and anger, they remain cheerfully curious.

Currently residing in Orn, is not the godly entity in their entirety, but a fragment trapped by the curse of eternal winter that named itself Malphas. Running the town's tavern and only general store, they're a chatty bunch that knows the ins of everything, seemingly having no semblance of their past life. Even an immortal's memories can be drowned out by decades, perhaps centuries of howling winds, and so has this fragment of autumn forgotten its original self. Though still as friendly and somewhat callous, their smile has grown kinder, their heart warmer. And perhaps even deeper, buried within their weathered heart, is a twinge of envy; perhaps, after tasting the sweetness of living, this runaway does not want to return to duties and permanence and fleeting memories no longer.
