Glow
Kind | Powerful | Honest | Gentle

Glow was found, beaten and bloodied, by Gidget one rainy night. He had flown far, and collapsed in the Steppes, unable to carry on. Gidget carried him home on an improvised stretcher, utilizing her mechanical wings to help her carry his weight. She nursed him back to health, and cared for him.

Despite their instant connection and growing friendship, Glow refuses to talk about the life he had before joining the clan. Born from Breeders, and turned into one himself, he was forced to take mates he did not know or care for. The night he escaped, he was hunted, injured, and scared. He still suffers nightmares from that time.

Xelestial, however, brings him peace. Gidget became a piece of the world that was bright, kind, and warm. He spends many hours of each day assisting her in the workshop, learning how she creates. The elderly Breeder Galyx offers a calming presence, and a secret keeping ear when the past haunts him. The other orphans of the clan offer him kindness and love, and he returns the favor.

Glow is, at his core, a victim of circumstance. He does not know if he will ever breed again, nor if he will ever truly connect with another dragon. The past is frightening to him, but one thing is for certain; with Gidget by his side, the future is bright.

Glow tried not to think about the past that haunted him. His future was so bright that it blinded him to the horridness of the home he'd left behind. At least, that was the case most of the time. There were nights when he woke up shaking, days when he couldn't help but feel as if everyone was watching him and judging him, times when he felt so horrible about himself that he wanted to do nothing but sink into the ground. The others helped. Gidget did her best, giving him space when he needed it and comfort when he asked. She tried not to pry, which was perhaps the best thing of all. Most of the time, he was all right. And when those bad times crept in and threatened to drown him, he always knew he had friends to hold him aloft in the end. That was enough to help him live.
