Alec’s origins aren’t well-known. It’s even said by some that he was born to parents with no names – who existed only as rumors within the shadows of the Plaguebringer’s underworld.

Whether this is true or not, an aura of mystique still clings to the Coatl everywhere he goes.
For the most part, Alec appears to be normal. Despite his vivid red coloring, he doesn’t seem to have much of a temper. He never raises his voice, and is always polite when spoken to. In fact, he often seems to have a smile on his face, as though he’s constantly amused by something that only he can see. Perhaps he knows something that the rest of us do not.

Alec is quite the pleasant Coatl to be around, provided you don’t provoke him. Anyone who crosses him soon finds out about his darker side. When pushed too far, Alec will occasionally fly into a blind rage. When the bloodlust hazes his vision, he no longer distinguishes between friend and foe. It’s an unfortunate thing for anyone nearby at the time. It’s best to stay on his good side.

He does actually have a good side. Honestly! He often takes on small jobs around the clan for free-- helping out dragons and families who are in need. Of course, never let it be said that he's losing his touch or becoming soft. If anyone were to spread such a rumor, they would quickly find Alec at their doorstep, a grim look of determination on his face.

Although he keeps to himself for the most part, Alec can be seen spending some of his time with Jase. The true nature of their relationship is up to speculation, but they seem to be close in some way. They’ll often murmur to each other in hushed tones, as though discussing something of great importance.
