This little Spiral has a passion for creation. Out of harsh, unforgiving rock, he could coax out beauty with a crude set of a chisel and hammer.

Some have gone as far as to say his carvings could predict the future. Whether this may be mere rumors or the truth remains to be seen...

To further develop his skills, this little Spiral decided to embark on a journey across the realms, to learn all there is pertaining to his art.

He often gets frustrated because no one takes him seriously.

He is the opposite of claustrophobic. He is agoraphobic, fearful of wide-open spaces, and also gets anxious when high up in the air. Unless he is on a mountain, of course... he loves being up in the thin air, but near the earth, looking down on the world, as long as he's firmly planted on the ground. When anxious he will often curl up into a tight knot or ball.

Slate has two familiars: a Venerable Shalebuck and a Living Sculpture (created himself). The Venerable Shalebuck is a childhood familiar who helped and protected him when he was young and lost.

Slate may come across as cold or rude, but he doesn't mean to purposefully chase others away. He just understands earth more than living beings.
