Dreamcatcher

Dreamcatcher was the first dragon to be hatched in Thistle's clan. As the first child of the clan's founders, Thistle and Seaweed, he's one of the oldest dragons in the lair. He maintains a playful and energetic attitude, though, making him well-suited to the task of caring for hatchlings. Even when there are no hatchlings in the clan, Dreamcatcher watches over the younger dragons and tells them stories of when the clan was new.

It was assumed at first that Dreamcatcher would lead the clan after Thistle and Seaweed retired, but he has shown very little interest in leading. His younger half-brother, Tears, hopes to follow in his mother's footsteps and become the clan's battle-trainer. Meanwhile, it is likely that Dreamcatcher will end up becoming the general dispute-settler, since he already spends quite a bit of time helping Seaweed.

Because of the clan's relatively disorganized leadership, some members are worried that the clan would fall apart if Thistle or Seaweed were to die or become too ill to keep the clan together.

After the birth of Claws and Tears (children of Thistle and Kestrel), most of the worried clan members calmed down. Claws, like Dreamcatcher, showed little interested in becoming a clan leader, so Tears became Thistle's default heir. This does not necessarily mean that Tears would lead the clan in the event of Thistle's death, but he would at least have a very important role. Tears takes his duties as heir very seriously, and his clanmates have quite a bit of faith in him.
