______ Hiawatha’s parents had been dedicated researchers for an Arcane clan and knew everything it seemed. As a hatchling she used to twirl and twist around and ask them all sorts of curious questions. They often told her to sit still if she wanted to hear some amazing stories – so she learnt to sit still long enough to ask all her questions and hear all the answers. She decided she wanted to be like her parents when she grew up – she wanted to learn everything there was to know.

______ When it was time to leave home and find herself a new clan she knew she wanted to find a clan that would take her in and allow her to research and do experiments on her own whimsy. She found herself another nice Arcane clan that was willing to take her in as a researcher.

______ She found herself adjusting to this new clan as it was quite different from her own home, and once she had settled; she realised that she had no limits to what she could do. Her parents and no other authority that could stop her pursuit expect the clan leaders and the resources she could get her claws on. Now she could do all sorts of crazy things she had dreamed of trying during her youth. She decided she wanted to dwell on magically experimentation solely since that was something she knew little about since her parents were all about scholarly knowledge.

______ The clan leaders encouraged her since she made several discoveries that had help the clan and their mages. Most of the time she was locked away in her part of the lair while she did her experiments, only when one of her clan-mates came by to drag her off to eat something did she remember she had to eat and drink in order to keep functioning. Most of the time it seemed like she didn’t need to honestly; until she was dragged away, which then reminded her of the ache in her belly and the dryness of her throat.

______ All the energy she had was divided between her experiments, doing reports, eating and sleeping. She didn’t do much else and therefore had little time for other dragons, let alone a mate. She didn’t need one, though she hoped that someday she’d get some company to help her with her experiments because while doing them was extremely satisfying it was always nice to have some company while you made new or old discoveries.
