General Lore

Perky and fun, Brightness gained her name more from personality than colour.

Stunned by her beauty and the similarity she bore to him, Merak invited the wandering dragon to join the clan. She was accepted with much joy - another friend, and so soon after the departure of some long-term residents! Brightness set to work as a courier immediately - no use sitting around all day - and so far she has met 0 other clans with blessings of peace. She is set to succeed Shade and Caris as the primary envoys, so that the pair can focus more on their care-taking work, but that is still a long way off. The tiny dragon still must learn the tricks of the trade, and she is currently under the tuition of Faline, the Ice nocturne. Currently she rides with the ambassador, carrying a small selection of messages, and the two, while quite different and not entirely friends, are very comfortable in each other's company.

Merak is courting her, taking time off of work to write eloquent poems which she keeps in her satchel. She returns his affections, but her training as a lady will not allow her to show it, especially since he is a Shadow dragon and she Light. She is concerned about the effect of their different elements on their offspring, but so far their children have turned out all right. She has even begun to enjoy the maternity trips to the Tangled Wood, and while this brings her untold horror she would not have it any other way.
