 Like his mirror and mentor, Kiiro, Merak was picked up by someone in a position of power and now serves as a devoted assistant. His kindly boss, Isabeau, drew him into her service after he was adopted from KatnapKradle's clan to provide some sort of companionship for Kiiro. Since arrival, he has risen above all expectation and proved to be immensely helpful in managing Isabeau's many complicated inter-clan affairs. He is now wholly responsible for the records of dragon professions, and its a job that he applies himself to fully. The only distraction from his work is his flame, Brightness. He courts her timidly, writing quaint poems and letters to her because he is too afraid to speak the words to her face. She treats him with grace, and seems to return his affections, but it is still too early to tell. The two are young yet, but Merak seems convinced that she is the one for him. He misses her terribly whenever she is away, and everyone around him can't help but chuckle at the love-lorn lilt of his frills. When approached, his claws are full of scrolls and ink. He is busily taking notes on his familiar's behaviour as it rolls around, enjoying a sand-bath. He looks up, frills rippling in the fae equivalent of a smile, and gestures to a tiny cart, which is full of documents.
