Tomato
Concierge Family | Outreach

The Youngest Son

Face of the Concierge family and head of day to day operations, Tomato no longer has the time he used to when he was younger. This fact doesn't bother him, as the time he spent with other dragons left him with a large array of skills and his new responsibilities afford him new challenges. Often taking it upon himself to solve minor problems and keep track of visitor's preferences, Tomato is aided in his efforts by his two adopted sons, Faraday and Meniscus. Together these three form the core of the visitor experience at Clan Theridiidae.

No duty to the lair has ever come before Tomato's duty to his family, and the added responsibilities have not changed that. Tomato spends at least part of every evening with his family going over the days events. He is especially overjoyed when his youngest sister, Rhosyn comes to visit with the branch of the family that has moved away.

Tomato may no longer spend the bulk of his time teaching hatchlings and learning new skills, but he is certain to introduce his nephew Ramsey to new skills that the dragon might be interested in. He hopes that one day Ramsey will feel fully comfortable being a member of the family, and is trying to convince Rhosyn to let him start throwing hatch day parties for him.

Even though he's no longer a hatchling, Tomato was the precious baby of the clan for a long time. Everyone adored him and he in turn adored everyone. If there was something a dragon is passionate about Tomato was passionate about it too. He'd bring them trinkets and gifts, odds and ends and new ideas for their favourite things. He even wore the scarf that Fairisle gave him.

He has a tendency to speak! With lots of exclamation! Marks! While some dragons initially find it annoying, his dedication and interest in their interests makes up for this short coming. He is able to almost unfailingly cheer up any of the dragons in their lair but knows when to leave well enough alone.

Tomato's involvement in the activities of the other dragons in the lair didn't mean that he neglected his family. He has always loved his adoptive family of faes dearly and will do anything for them. Luckily Zaulen managed to curb his habit of going to rude guests and explaining to them in great but gentle detail the hard work and effort that goes into making the lair run as smoothly as possible and why they should feel absolutely awful for what they did.

Due to his passionate participation in other dragons interests, particularly those Fairisle and Vulx, Tomato has picked up a long list of skills. These skills include knitting, fixing machinery, sewing a garment, jewelry making, basic construction techniques, first aid and safety measures, how to bake a pie and how to accurately hit a an unsuspecting dragon with that same pie from a hundred meters away. He has taken to teaching hatchlings the basics of the skills relevant to their interests, a task he enjoys greatly.

After his sister Fulmine left the clan, Tomato found that he had much more responsibility than before. The Concierge family was barely able to keep up with the duties they had taken on for themselves, especially with Aurorae's illness. Luckily, Tomato's investment in both hatchlings and new comers paid off. He adopted two children of his own into the family, Faraday and Meniscus. Tomato hopes that together with his new sons, he can take over all the family responsibilities and allow both his fathers to fully retire if they want to.
