Biography
Kvara is the daughter of Isaroq, the daughter of Anaana, the daughter of Ebris; her father, Middernacht, is the son of Caske, the son of Daisuke. She has exactly eight first-gen great-grandparents. She has two brothers, Erneq and Meeraq.
Kvara shares no colors with either parent; she's halfway between both. Her brothers are also midway between their parents' colors.
During the Lightweaver's glorious battle for dominance over the Plaguebringer, Anaana, Ataata, Isaroq, Middernacht, Qeerlutoornaq, and Orpippassuit went to join the Lightweaver's armies directly; Kvara remained at home, brewing healing potions for exalted dragons when they came to rest at the Solar Solar, providing healing poultices for clanmates, and cooking nourishing meals for sentries.
Middernacht is the son of Caske, the son of Daisuke; his mother, Maela, is the daughter of Cthulhu. Caske inherited his father's breed, but neither of his parents shared a color with him; Maela inherited her mother's breed, and her mother's secondary color. Middernacht, meanwhile, inherited his father's breed and secondary color, but unlike his parents he also inherited a trait from his opposite-sex parent - in this case, his mother's tertiary, for which he was named. He had one clutchmate - a sister who inherited their mother's breed. False Azure remained with their parents longer than Middernacht did, but rather than seeking a place in another Light clan, or even a clan elsewhere, she decided to enter the Icewarden's service during Ice's fierce battle against Fire. |
Isaroq is the daughter of Anaana, the daughter of Ebris; her father is Ataata, the son of Forest. Anaana was hatched in a Water nest, the only egg in that nesting of her parents'; Ataata was hatched in a Wind nest, the only egg his parents ever produced. Anaana's parents were hatched from eggs discovered during the first Night of the Nocturne; Ataata's parents were progenitors of a clan, but chose exaltation immediately after their only egg hatched. The two of them had a single three-egg nest during the second Night of the Nocturne; Isaroq was the first egg to hatch by many minutes, then her brothers Qeerlutoornaq and Orpippassuit hatched almost simultaneously. She resembles her father both in breed and color, though she shares no colors with him; she and her mother have the same tertiary color. |

Kvara had one nest with Meeraq, one of the hatchlings from Mauve's first nest; that nest had one egg, Hrairoo ("Fiver"). Then Meeraq decided to go celebrate Father's Day with Earthdad, and Kvara decided to have a nest with Mamaqtuq, the only hatchling from Mauve's second nest; this nest had three hatchlings in it, two Pearlcatchers and one Tundra. The Pearlcatchers were named Lebthil ("Five-pointed", i.e. pentagon) and Brithilwi ("pearl's person"); the Tundra was named Canthuion ("Son of Fourth".) |
Even though Kvara is not descended from the Founders, the familiar from the clan's second Brightshine Jubilee decided to live with Kvara rather than with Quinta - somewhat to Quinta's embarrassed relief, since she is very fond of her fangar. To Kvara's surprise, when she and the goblin are directly touching, her link to the clan's gestalt identity is not just stronger, but greatly stronger; the same seems to be true for others in the clan.
