Soothsayer

The plants of the Starwood Strand often have strange, magical properties. They can heal headaches, cuts and bruises. According to local legend, some of them can even be brewed into powerful love potions. That’s exactly what Deniere does.

She might not originally be from the Arcanist’s domain, but this Coatl comes from a long line of soothsayers and herbalists. For generations, people have been coming to her family for advice and potion to help them with all sorts of things— love, money, success. In a way, Deniere and her family are quite literally fortune tellers. Whoever consults with them is sure to find good fortune, whether in the form of a potion or sage piece of advice.

While Deniere’s family has lived in the Windswept Plateau for generations, they have a peculiar custom. When their young dragons come of age, they must make their own way in the world— spreading joy and using their skills to help those in need. There’s no set time limit, and no obligation for them to return home, but many of them grow homesick and find their way back to the clan eventually.

Deniere has not grown homesick. In fact, she’s fallen a little bit in love with her new clan. She lives in a little wooden hut in the depths of the forest, just outside their territory. Huge, beautiful flowers bloom in well-maintained beds outside her hut, welcoming anyone who might come to visit. And like any good host, Deniere always makes sure to have a pot of tea steaming on the fire and a tin of fresh-baked cookies for any guests who come to seek her expertise. Some dragons even visit her just to chat these days, or perhaps just to indulge in her excellent baking skills. Either way, she enjoys the company.
