Biography

Ironwine is a taciturn dragon, and not one given to contemplation and reflection. When she came from the Plaguelands with her adopted son, she did not have any stories to tell. She simply offered her services in battle and turned away to dig a personal lair far from the communal one. Her son has told some of their story. Her quiet appreciation of the clean water and food, and the old scars that pockmark her hide tell more.

The very act of survival had always defined her life, as it defines many of the Plague dragons. Until she left the Plaguelands, she did not understand that there was more. She only knew that she had failed at survival, and that her family was gone because of that failure. Somehow, her son had escaped the sickness that took them. Somehow she had recovered. She did not give herself credit for these things.

When she arrived in the Viridian Labyrinth, she expected the grotesque over-abundance of life to wither under her claws. When it did not, she began to respect it. When the clan shaman cleansed her old body of decades of the Plaguebringer's "gifts", she began to wonder.

Slowly, under the watchful gaze of the Gladekeeper and of her adopted clan, she began to change. After all, she still needed to survive.
