Bloodstone is typically gentle and doesn’t like to hurt anyone with her abilities. But she is fiercely protective of her family and friends, so sometimes she doesn’t get to make that choice. Bloodstone is a kind but rash Nocturne who does whatever she deems necessary when she has to make a choice. She loves to focus her abilities on the greater good of the clan. She is brave and will do just about anything to prove herself. Her loyalty knows literally no bounds because she believes in herself and only herself. Bloodstone isn’t your ordinary Mage. Most Mages are only interested in power. She’s interested in helping others and trying to figure things out. She loves a good puzzle, and would never give up when faced with a challenge. This dragon may be a little haunted by the fact that she just ditched her parents without warning, but she has found a way to live with it and even use it as motivation to work hard and do her best every day. Yes, she can be a little sarcastic and a lot reckless as well. Needless to say, she barely knows her own story. She doesn’t know why her parents called her Bloodstone. She doesn’t know much of anything about what came before this clan. The only thing she knows for sure is that she ran away, and that she spends every second of her life trying to live with that. ________________________________________ |

Two dragons by the names of Master and Chaoying were having problems producing a child. They told the mother that she would never have a baby of her own. And that news devastated her. All she wanted was a single child. She didn’t think that was asking too much of the deities, but no matter how hard she prayed, her wish never came true. She contacted a witch and the plan was laid out. These parents had to say an incantation to a rare bloodstone, and it would personify and create a child for them. It seemed impossible, and everyone knew the dangers out bloodstones. A single touch would institute the emission of a jet of blood toxin that would stop your heart in seconds. Naturally, they were desperate enough to do it anyway. And after the spell, nothing happened. Then something did. A tiny Nocturne lay in place of the bloodstone. It was only fair that her parents were utterly shocked. But they were grateful. The Nocturne was a gentle being, obviously, and the three of them became family very quickly. But nothing can stay perfect forever. Shortly after reaching her teen years, BloodStone ran off. Why? She was a teenager. Do you need more of a reason than that? She just wanted some adventure. Her parents searched but didn’t find her. Stricken with grief, they gave up. Of course, BloodStone had no idea about any of this. She was too busy being out and about and searching rather desperately for somewhere she fit in. When she found magic, she practiced. And soon enough, she was very skilled in her new art. Beyond that, she joined this clan and became the most excellent Nocturne Mage they could ever hope for. She always seems to put magic first now. But this poor girl never did find out what happened with her parents. ________________________________________ |
