The Leader Mirror Pack Leader A common reaction dragons have to Kishani is 'oh, you're not what I expected'. Her reputation precedes her, a successful hunter, able warrior and the leader of a mirror pack, all true but all holding an untrue stereotype about her. In most mirror packs the leader is determined by who's the most intimidating and can get everyone else to do what they want, what people don't get is that this mirror pack is very much unlike most mirror packs. They're not together out of necessity for survival, they're together because they like each other. She's the leader because she's good at it, she knows how to keep them together, how to take care of them and how to help them. That's not to say she isn't fierce and scary, she can definitely be those things, but she likes to reserve 'scary' for when people make her angry or mess with her pack and 'fierce' is mostly when she's trying to get a better deal on market day. She's necessarily 'cold' persay, just... not very emotional. Besides her pack she isn't really that close to many dragons and therefore doesn't have any reason to treat her clan mates with anything but indifference. She does have a few friends though, Zeia and Tevnia to name a couple. Another thing dragons expect is that Kishani and Alzar would butt heads, the oldest mirror in the pack should surely be annoyed that the youngest is leading, this is again not true. Alzar has no interest in leadership and is perfectly content to let his Kishani and Aedan are pretty much a universal constant. She adores him and loves carrying him around and talking to him and he loves being around her. Some of the guardians of the clan will joke that she was meant to be a guardian all along or that Aedan was her charge in another life for how protective of him she is. She won't admit it but she thinks there might be a bit of truth in the latter statement. She even adopted him into her little pack, insisting that their doors will always be open for him if he needs a place to stay. Some nights he'll take her up on that offer and slip in, maybe start chatting with Alzar or helping with dinner. Others she'll take it upon herself to go find him and bring him back with her. He never objects, in fact he likes it, to him it means that someone cares for him enough to want to be around him that much. |
