The Most Determined Hero

Jake is the first dragon of Eldarowabilitylords, and the male Elder of the clan. Jake will occasionally visit the nesting grounds to simply have a look around. Jake loves to explore, and this has lead him to the icy place he lives now, and is in the works of a detailed map of his lair.

Jake is very clearly one of the most patient, if not the most patient dragon in the clan, once waiting two days for a visitor that had been held up by trouble while on the road. Jake also seems to be able to know when a person is trying to betray him and when they are honestly trying to repent their wrongdoings and when they are just trying to be mischievous purposefully.

Jake is friends with Ghede, and shares his throne with him as an equal.
Outside of this friendly ruling pair, there is the Clan Court, which acts as a blend between a government, an advisory, and a protective service to the clan. Most members of the Clan Court are strong in battle or wise and knowledgeable, and as such maintain the smooth running of the clan as it grows.
Below that are the various combat squads, namely the Wayward Warriors, who do the clan’s hunting and major fighting, and below that still are slightly smaller groups and individual shops such as the Dark Star Hatchery, Bramblehide’s Rocks, Lixue’s Training, and the Auction House Brigade.
Ability Lords Chapter One

Eldarow skidded in the dust, he had finally been kicked out. He got up, dusting himself off. He was slightly dizzied, and his surroundings seemed different. His back hurt, as if he had hit his back on something during the fall. He was no longer in the rural town he used to live in. This was a forest of some kind. There were particularly large spaces between each tree, roughly six feet apart, by Eldarow’s estimate. The ground was a rather dry, dusty, pale color of, well, dust. It had a tan, sandy hue to it, contrasting from the deep brown of the bark on the trees, which towered above the thick layer of foliage that hung from their immensely wide branches, almost twenty feet in the air.

Something was off about this place, but Eldarow couldn’t put his finger on it.

Eldarow got up, suddenly coughing. The air seemed to be different here, or he was just disoriented. With his foot, Eldarow traced a large ‘x’ to mark where he came from. Eldarow began walking in a straight line from the x, occasionally stepping to the side to avoid walking into a tree.

Eldarow continued walking for what felt like almost an hour, but there wasn’t any change in the composition of the land. At least there weren’t any animals here, so as far as he could tell, he was safe. He decided to take a seat, up against a tree.

This new lair will be perfect! Just the right amount of space, nice and cozy, and with sturdy enough ground to dig out a bigger storage area if necessary! I’m building my very own clan and writing about it in this book, which I’ll allow those passing through and those who are staying to write in, and hopefully have an awesome experience in doing so! Skyji seems to be excited too, in her own serious way. She’s preparing the separate cave areas for the newcomers that I’ve heard are going to set up their new homes here! I can’t wait! -Jake
