Beloved Reader,


There are currently over 1000 uniquely identified species with in our fair lands and more are being discovered by the scientific community every day. There lies the problem. The scientific community is vastly behind in the cataloging and study of other creatures and other sentient species. I have had several colleagues who struggle to tell me the key differences between a Citrine Cave Jewel and an Emerald Cave Jewel. Many of them didn't even realize I was speaking of a living creature in the first place!

However if I were to speak to the average clan dragon who live with in range of the great Waterway they would be able to tell me a great number of things about them and why the two are different. Knowing that there is a Citrine and an Emerald variation is not a new discovery for them. There is so much knowledge to be gathered from these dragons and little to no effort has been done to gather any of it.

What I propose is to change all of that. An expedition to all the corners of Sornieth to meet and to learn from the dragons that know best. No more staying in a classroom waiting for the science to come to us. With your support dear reader I believe that we can expand the our knowledge of the world around us and solve the mysteries that to this day still elude us. I will send letters with updates so that you might keep track of my progress.

____Attracting this large species of epiptite can be very difficult. Their meal of choice is the giant darner. Rumors are that the Swipp clan is actually very talented at breeding these. I will investigate.
