The following is to be cleaned up, embellished, and rewritten in a journalistic format:

My clan originated in the viridian labrynth, but fled to the southern icefields when the war between light and plague caused some of their hatchlings to be abducted and used as front line fodder (aka when that insane plague vs light dom push happened in 2016 I was still a noob and a bunch of my precious children I had listed for normal non-fodder prices got exalted with stupid names & I was super salty about it so I vented via lore lmao). While living in the ice flight, the clan picked up several scientists who had traveled to the region for research. Eventually, as the clan acquired more and more travelling researchers, they moved to the Tsunami Flats to provide a more centrally located (and warmer) home base.

So essentially what that all boils down to is that everyone in my clan (whose job isn't a basic essential) is a researcher, scientist, or some sort of very specific -ologist who spends most of their time travelling and writing and researching.
