Yersinia

Yersinia is not as aloof or refined as Howlback, but it is clear she has been impressed by it and that it is something she strives for. While the pearlcatcher is still very much a typical Plague dragon, she has taught herself much of the social matters and etiquette of other lands and learned to rein herself in and present a pleasant social face when called on. When her practice of such behavior is questioned--and it certainly has been--she is quick to explain that a population which does not see sickness among it is an easy one to infect, but it is clear she takes a different, softer pleasure in it as well. While her coarser roots might show when she gets excited, she also cleans up nicely enough and has practiced enough to play the part where she would otherwise not be invited.

She has a nose for disaster, and she tends to home in on it like a vulture. But that may be because her mate is a walking disaster area. Dealing with the fallout of Toxi's visits often keeps her busy when she is not fine-tuning her social skills (often using her own, very highly maintained pearl as a 'practice partner') or slipping off to put them to use.
