Rukous grew up in the domain of light, a cheerful, sheltered young dragon. As a child she strayed too close to shadow territory and disappeared for months before emerging nearly fully grown; her body was covered in patches of dark, discolored skin, and shadowy enchanted vines snaked their way from her chest down her limbs. She had been shade-touched. Her clan banished her out of fear and she was left to wander before finding her current home, where she now helps teach hatchlings about history, politics, and practical lessons in life - like not wandering too far into dark forests.
