Kheelan, Guardian of the Lair
tumblr_nu7ve0LhKM1qgs2k4o7_250.jpg Kheelan means Warrior. He is the first male to join Naidas Clan, and he´ll fight to protect that little, dear Fae Dragon and all of the young ones that are to come. She and her Clan are his chosen Charge, he makes that quite clear quite fast.

"In the name of the Gladekeeper, in protection of Nature, I´ll bind myself to this Clan. With my heart, I´ll protect it. With my strength, I´ll care for it. With my mind, I´ll teach the young. Command me, Gladekeeper. I´m ready to do your bidding."

His secondborn was called to the Behemoth, his firstborn is a shy, silent fae... This has him worried. Until he gets to know Umay. The dark-colored fae is everything you suspect a fae to be - and as she tells him in hushed, slow tones she´s been like Duwain a long time, he regains hope for his son.
That hope is not confoirmed, though. Duwain gets lured into the lands of the shadowbinder - and even decides to serve there. But this is life, and the sun can´t shine every day.
It doesn´t bother the big Guardian too much. His son has found his way and is strong enough to walk it. Alone, if it must be. That makes Kheelan proud.
That Naida choose to nest with other males is okay with him - that does not change his charge. He will protect her and her lair - forever. And maybe, one time...
And the time comes. Safir is too occupied with his work, and getting really good at it. So good he gets called to the Behemoth to read stars and tell futures there. As many of his children serve Glademother there, too, the pearlcatcher is only too happy to leave.
And again, Naida is without a mate. Again, she seeks trust and warmth at his side. He´ll be there. Forever.
