Music, to many, is a magical thing.
Yume took that literally. By no means is Yume a spellcaster capable of combat or any wondrous feats; he is simply one that has managed to bend a very specific part of his abilities entirely to his will. Rather than magician, he’d like to be known as musician - and he’ll do everything he can for that. For years, Yume has wandered Sornieth as half of a performing duo with the dancer Tobira. While Tobira is the one who gets the spotlight in those shows - as she is meant, and deserves, to - Yume prides himself highly on his unique way of playing. No two performances are the same, and it is Yume who is to thank for that. He is skilled at playing a large variety of instruments, and even if he suddenly seems to be cornered by the dreadful feeling of sudden poor playing, all he needs to do is tweak the sound itself a little with his magic - not that the instruments themselves aren’t made of that already. While Tobira spent most of their travelling days worried about their means of survival as two performers who lacked everything, Yume appeared a lot more laid-back, though it can be surmised that this was more of a form of hopeful optimism directed at Tobira. The two are close, even on those days where such hope hardly seems to exist anymore. Now that the pair lives at the Clan, Yume is even more relaxed and spends most of his time practicing his music. He enjoys the company of the Glass Order as well, even though he understands little of what they do, and handles their curiosity with surprising grace - though essentially, it amounts to “I’ll never tell you my secrets.” |
