Biography
Mire was born to a small sept that followed the Shadowbinder as the god of darkness, death, doom, despair, and other negative things that start with D, and strove to follow their god in word and deed. Mire, being a bright, energetic, and cheerful child, was incredibly unsuited for this life. He loved his family, so he turned himself inside out trying to fit in with them, but eventually had to concede and leave his original home behind. He wandered for a long time, trying to find a place where he could be happy, until he came to the edge of the sea, and a newly formed clan took him in.
His best friend is Morganite, as they bonded over their similar pasts, but he has been getting closer to Ripple lately, trying to get the shy dragon to come out of his shell. The only one in the lair he really dislikes is PoisonedInk, although it would be more accurate to say he fears her, as she was born near his home and in behavior would fit in with Mire’s family quite well. He loves his daughter Raizel, but doesn’t understand her at all, and blames PoisonedInk for this as well, with some justification. The only remaining trace of his upbringing in his behavior now is that when he is unhappy and alone, he can brood with the best of them, though that rarely happens now.
