It was an odd case, really, how they ended up togehter - she and Berwyn. Tiera, the Iron Knight, was already her mate and they had even children together (all sent to serve Shadowbinder, of course). Then Tiera found his Charge, the Coatl he was fighting alongside at Coliseum. And while nothing said a Guardian should wed their Charge, it was soon clear Tiera was also deeply in love with the Coatl. And Stargazer let him go. She understood True Love, and hers was the sky and the warm southern wind.

And then one day, the southern wind came and brought Berwyn in her life. The Nocturn from Wind was everything she could ever wish from a best friend: she was an explorer ("A real explorer!" Stargazer had exclaimed, "She has travelled through almost all the Sorienth!"), very clever and loved flying as much as she did. Berwyn had explained she was only flying through, that she was on her way to the Dragonhome. (She has been waiting for "proper wind" for a while now, and Stargazer offered her a place in Royal Airforce meanwhile. She gladly accepted.)
