HISTORY

First and foremost, Sariel is not actually a dragon at all. Rather, they are divine seraphim whose being is basically a shapeless form of light that travels the cosmos as a higher form of life. Their thoughts and feelings can encompass multitudes of dimensions and time to them is an interconnected pathway where one second is the same as a millennium.
Although they had traveled far and wide as an ethereal being of light, they wanted more. They wanted to experience life at its most visceral, to live the life of kill-or-be-killed firsthand. After all, nothing can replicate the feeling of actually being alive. The vessel they chose was a strange one indeed.

Noticing a male Wildclaw dying from many injuries,the angelic being noted the body as a perfect vessel to harbor his essence. Sariel then moved in, ready to take over the body the moment the dragon's soul would leave, but not before the physical body itself died. In doing so, they had achieved their goal to descend to mortality, and woke to a physical existence.

This new body was strange; Sariel had never had a body before, and naturally, it took some getting used to almost like an awkward hatchling walking for the first time. To any bystanders it would have looked very odd.

PERSONALITY

Sariel's personality is as strange as his history. It quickly becomes obvious that he has trouble with common, everyday social and emotional cues that most dragons know from a very early age.

He also doesn't always make sense when he speaks. What comes out is almost like a stream of consciousness, rather than an articulated answer. In reality, he is simply trying to compress the large volume of thought in what he thinks is barely adequate language, as he doesn't know how to explain most of his experiences in a way your common dragon would understand. Sariel also has a tendency to not answer questions directly, instead going on unrelated trains of thought and usually boring the other dragon from their original topic of conversation.

As for his attitude towards mortal beings, Sariel is quite benign. He doesn't hate them, nor does he want to hurt or kill them, though he is curious about just how far dragons and other creatures can push their physical bodies. He is specifically interested in the mental aspect of the creatures on Sornieth, as they function on a higher level than most creatures he has previously observed. However, this interest doesn't translate into actual friendship. While he harbors no ill will towards them, he doesn't see them as equals. Rather, he sees them like little pets. They are something to be cared for, but are not equal to him.

Sariel has no family, no mate, and no children.
