Calantha

Calantha was immediately drawn to SunMane, though she didn't show it. She could tell the young Tundra was unsure and skittish, so she waited, and let him settle in. She soon found out he wasn't like the other Tundras of the clan - preferring fresh meat to fruit, for example - but that didn't deter her.

She began a subtle campaign of glances and small gifts left in his spot by the clan's archway. One was a blanket made of soft plant fibers, another was a necklace of bird skulls. She would show up when he was teaching the hatchlings, and soon the two became inseparable.

He finally asked her to be his mate by giving her a bird skull necklace of her own. Their home is in one of the caves at the edge of the lair, with a hidden exit to the outside. Calantha has made it warm and cozy.

Calantha serves as a bridge between the shy SunMane and the rest of the clan. She's learned just enough about his customs to allow him to run with the moon, and not worry when he's away.
