Karkinos

Cheery and kind, the eccentric Skydancer is often looked to for advice regarding all sorts of problems. No matter how non-consequential, he listens with patience and polite concern. As a result, he has come to be familiar with his fellow clan members and their various troubles.

His official occupation, however, involves his future sight. While his visions often come in the form of dreams, Karkinos is also known to perform rituals to awaken his third eye. As a seer, he is called upon as an adviser during times of uncertainty and calamity.

Normally, he is tasked with standing sentinel over the gates, due to his profound aural sensitivity. He can often be found strolling across the watchtowers, observing the daily workings of the clan and keeping watch over a vast range of clan territory from his optimal vantage point.

Sometimes, there are shadowy hands that hover over Karkinos. Some say they are the fading vestige of a curse, alarming to witness but ultimately harmless. Others say they are the gift Karkinos traded his eyes for: hands of the shade. With these, he can strike down an enemy from a distance. With these, he has the power to possess his familiar, a Death Seeker, in order to fulfill his duties. But that is all hearsay. Most of the time, people see nothing at all. He is simply kind, patient Karkinos.
