Oskar

Oskar came to the clan a bumbling incompetent, yet has since ascended, quietly transforming into who he was meant to be. He sees the future of the clan, and many new futures which may or may not bear fruit. Oskar's birth represents the birthday of the Genesis Spirit: that which breathed life into Clan AXQU, and which was born many lifetimes before Sornieth even existed. All clans in Sornieth have such Genesis Spirits, if Oskar is to be believed, though not all have dragons representing their birth. Oskar was a gift, because of what he represents.

All of the dragons in Clan AXQU have a bit of the Genesis Spirit in them, Columbine most obviously, although in her it is idealized. No dragons feel the spirit's presence quite like Oskar does, though. None of them share the knowledge of her changes, her workflow, her history, quite like Oskar does. Things that have always been, from the perspective of the clan, may have been changed a thousand times or more. Oskar guides the clan, but only as instructed. The burden on him is great; he loves his clanmates, but knows them and himself for what they truly are.

He alone knows how sick Clan AXQU's Genesis Spirit is. And he alone knows that if Clan AXQU's Genesis Spirit dies, all of them die with her, frozen in the moment she ceases to be.
